This project, located in the display space in Cardiff Metropolitan University, was all about using light to enhance a space. I became fascinated with the notion of mood lighting and how the subtle changing of colours can be calming to many people. With this notion, along with inspiration from a recent trip to the Tate Modern, I decided to create an inside park with mood lighting. The idea of this space is that when stress levels become too high, you can come here and unwind. This can be done in many ways whether you sit and enjoy the mood lighting emitted through the ball or whether you use the swing and slide. The style of the host building is industrial with a lot of concrete. To introduce a natural element to the space, I used plants and rocks. This space would be successful if implemented into a space given the busy and sometimes stressful climate we live in.
